The PMI Montana Chapter is a non-profit entity which endeavors to serve the great people of the State of Montana by doing the following:
Foster professionalism in the management of projects
Contribute to the quality and scope of project management
Stimulate appropriate global application of project management for the benefit of the general public
Provide a recognized forum for the free exchange of ideas, applications, and solutions to project management issues among its members, and other interested parties involved in project management
Identify and promote the fundamentals of project management and advance the body of knowledge for managing projects successfully
Enable interaction across all project management disciplines and professional organizations
Enhance those interested in project management by providing mentorship and leadership, especially to students and those new to the project management profession
We currently have three geographical branches to serve members. The three are the Western, Eastern, and Northwestern Montana branches. These branches are defined as:
Western: Encompasses the area from an imaginary straight line through Drummond to the Southern border with Idaho, area westward and an imaginary straight line through Saint Ignatius, area southward. Meetings are held in the Missoula area. Branch leader is Chris Kirschten: ckirschten@blackfoot.com
Eastern: Encompasses the area from an imaginary straight line through Reedpoint to the Southern border with Wyoming, area eastward and an imaginary straight line through Glendive, area southward. Meetings are held in the Billings area. Branch leader is Sherryl Adam: shirazsherry@yahoo.com
Northwestern: Encompasses the area from an imaginary straight line through St. Mary to the Northern border with Canada, area westward, and an imaginary straight line through Parma, area northward. Meetings are held in the Kalispell area. Branch leader is Nella Parrish: needles62@gmail.com
